Working with Type: Spacing, Form, and the Hand Workshop with Tida Tep | October 30, 2026
PPUA is pleased to welcome Cambodian-American designer Tida Tep from New York City for a special typography workshop with PPUA students.
Working with Type: Spacing, Form, and the Hand
In this hands-on workshop, students will step away from the screen to explore the physical foundations of typography through dry-transfer lettering. By working directly with letterforms, spacing, and composition, students will train their eyes and hands while developing a deeper understanding of the craft behind contemporary typography.
Based in New York City, Tida has worked with clients including Apple, The New York Times, The Museum of Modern Art (MoMA), Uniqlo, LVMH, and Google Creative Lab. She is also Executive Creative Director of Tidal magazine and teaches typography at The Cooper Union.
This workshop is offered specially for PPUA students as part of the University’s ongoing commitment to international exchange and industry-connected learning.
